South Gloucestershire Council meeting
There will be a meeting of South Gloucestershire Council on 18 May, beginning at 7.00 pm at the Council Chamber, Civic Centre, High Street, Kingswood. One of the items will permit members of the public to address the Council or to submit a petition, and the time allowed will probably be limited to 5 minutes per person.
It is expected that the Leader of the Council, Toby Savage, will be present, as well as other senior members of the Council, and this could be an ideal opportunity for those Thornbury residents who wish to speak about the proposed changes to Thornbury High Street to make their feelings and opinions known. Anybody wishing to speak at the meeting should email natalie.carr@southglos.gov.uk and advise that they wish to do so. It is also possible to make a virtual presentation or other comment by Zoom, if you are not able to attend in person or do not wish to.
At this stage, it is not known how long in total the Council will allocate for public presentations, so it would be worthwhile asking for a speaking slot as soon as possible. In addition, any residents who are willing to attend in support of the speakers would be welcome.
The agenda for the meeting should be available on the SGC website one week prior to the meeting.
TTaDRA will be represented with 5 or 6 members already indicating to Nataalie their wish to speak
If you wish to come along just to support or speak that would be great
